Coach Profile: Judy Mcgregor
My mantra is to live life to the fullest, laugh a lot, try new things, make mistakes, and learn along the way. I have also experienced many physical, personal and mental hardships. I believe that we shouldn’t be ashamed to cry, it’s also important to celebrate success often and to tackle life’s many challenging circumstances pragmatically and of course with a sense of humour.
I collaborate with experts when required to bolster my offering. I also work with people and organisations to transform and sustain the changes they have chosen. I spent many decades working for corporates and entrepreneurs, so understand those worlds and the complexity well.
MY APPROACH
- Personalised, simple, realistic, and sustainable
- Sessions follow a structured approach, which is ideally a minimum of 2 sessions to get a real understanding and agree a plan for additional sessions or interventions
- Online, in person or as a group I am very flexible
- My approach uses many Hintsa tools and is adapted to suit my personal style and the individual client’s needs and goals
- Whilst being empathetic and benevolent the process will inspire change, help define steps to reach dreams and goals, ignite passion to achieve them and hold us accountable
- Tracking progress and resetting goals will encourage commitment
PRICING OPTIONS
The first session is very important and has a survey that needs to be completed before we meet. It’s a very quick and easy Hintsa tool that I will then analyze, it then sets a baseline and reference for all coaching discussions.
This survey analysis and 60 minute coaching session is R1200 paid in advance or included in a retreat cost.
Each subsequent session will be agreed based on the result of the introductory session, but a good estimate is R500 for 45 minutes.
A discount will be given when a bundle of five sessions are paid in advance.
These can all be in person or virtually. Join one of our retreats or events as well and get the full benefits.
MY BACKGROUND
I live in Hermanus now but grew up in Cape Town. I studied there and then left for London in 2000. I worked for a global hotel group and we launched new properties, hosted major events, managed public relations for the group which consisted of more than 100 properties. The group was bought by a Japanese investment bank and it was quite a ruthless takeover with the management team leaving almost immediately. From that time on I understood the importance of media training, a robust change management strategy, stakeholder management and authentic communications.
In the mid 2000s I was based in the Netherlands and worked for a global medical technology company. I worked on many exciting marketing projects and hosted leadership events in European cities. I implemented financial, regulatory and technological change and all communications and training materials were translated into eight languages. There was often a lot of resistance – culturally and technologically, but with a clear strategy and plan the team adapted quickly and ensured compliance.
After the birth of my first child in 2007, I consulted to brands like Shell and Nike and then moved back to South Africa in late 2009 when my second child was less than a year old.
I joined Old Mutual in 2010 and worked on numerous change projects. I planed and implemented many multi-year change projects. These covered regulatory and compliance, technology design and implementation, culture and incentives, cost cutting/ restructures etc. I worked with stakeholders of all levels.
In 2019, I returned to global projects and consulted on a number of sustainability related projects from reporting to integration of acquisitions.
With this experience and the Hintsa training I can confidently offer a holistic offering. I also focus on what makes the individual perform better. I cover personal branding, purpose and dreams. I explore physical and mental health matters in a way that is specific to each client. We discuss life changes too, giving time and energy to understanding how they feel and what they need to thrive.
In addition to my many decades of life and professional experience, I am a proud Mum of two incredible teenagers who teach me so much. I am crazy about horses, dogs and cats (birds, bees and all of nature really). I love to travel and have worked with many people from different cultures and industries.
